In September 2025, major controversies have surfaced surrounding Christian missionary activities and fraud. In the U.S., the FBI and IRS arrested self-styled Apostle David E. Taylor and his aide Michelle Brannon of the Kingdom of God Global Church (KOGGC) after a seven-year investigation exposed a $50 million fraud, forced labor, and abusive practices. On September 5, 2025, in Indiaβs Alwar district, police arrested two men linked to the New Life Foundation hostel after allegations of forced religious conversions of 52 children; Christian texts and suspicious funding were found during the raid. Meanwhile, in August 2025, the Trinity Broadcast Network (TBN) filed a $500 million lawsuit against TV personality Dr. Phil McGraw, accusing him of duping the Christian network into paying millions for undelivered episodes and broken contractual promises. These incidents highlight how Christian propaganda and missionary networks worldwide are increasingly under scrutiny for fraud, coercion, and exploitation.

Christian Pastor Convicted in 2018 Rape Case In a significant legal development, Bajinder Singh, a self-proclaimed Christian pastor known as 'Yeshu Yeshu Prophet', was sentenced to life imprisonment on April 1, 2025, for the 2018 rape of a woman from Zirakpur, Punjab. Singh, who led the Church of Glory and Wisdom, had lured the victim under the pretext of assisting her with travel abroad. The court found him guilty of exploiting his position of trust to sexually assault the woman.
